2023 School Branding Study

I designed a new brand identity for the cleaning brand Clean Cult. They pride themselves on making safe products that also are environmentally friendly. My goal was to take an edgy approach to this eco-friendly brand. 

I opted for a bold blackletter typeface to convey the distinctive and edgy essence of a cult, while also customizing the typography to add an approachable quality, effectively signaling its identity as a cleaning brand.

Brand Identity

Primary Mark

The blackletter typeface served as the foundation of the brand's identity. I then incorporated small illustrations to reinforce the cult-like characteristics.

After creating the base illustration, I added a banner to label the tarot card.

Secondary Mark

Illustrations

I’ve created a series of illustrations inspired by various beliefs and ideas, intentionally avoiding strong religious associations to keep them inclusive for a non-religious brand. I’m considering using these illustrations for a tarot card deck. This approach allows for the exploration of beliefs and personal insights without a religious context.

Next, I added a frame behind the illustration to evoke a dark, medieval aesthetic.

I designed a base illustration that serves as the foundation for a tarot card.
